Post 2 76 B.C.

Having now served for some months as the Quaestor in Sicily I believe that the people there have begun to trust me. They are know asking me to prosecute Gauis Verres a governor of Sicily who had plundered it. I think that I might accept this offer so that I try my Oratory skills against Quintus Hortensius Horatalus(who will be defending) who is known as the greatest lawyer in Rome.

  1. O, great Cicero, as I now know, I was one of your biggest role models as you looked up to me. I want to tell you that I modeled myself after Alexander the Great. Hence, THE GREAT.

  2. Even though I don't really know you that well, I learned many great things about you from Livy's, THE EARLY HISTORY OF ROME. You are such a great person, and I hope that you will succeed in doing whatever that you want to do. Your quotes are also some of the best ones that I have ever heard in my life.
